About Us

Our History:

We,a group of 7 like minded volunteers came together on August 15th 2007 to do something good which can change the Life of Orphans and bring smiles on their faces.

So we formed a Non Profitable & Social Organisation named WOW which stands for [Welfare Of Orphans & We] dedicated for Philanthrophic work catering the basic needs like food,medication and education of Orphan children.

We are striving hard to change the life of orphans in every possible way we can.

Our Past Achievements:

1>We were able to provide few infrastructure i.e 50 plastic chairs to an orphanage named “Samarthanam”.

2>Likewise,we were also able to provide the following to another

orphanage named “ANANDASHRAM”.

a>Bedsheets

b>Pillow Covers

c>Bulbs

d>Few stationery items.

3>We conducted a Fund Raising event on Nov 17th 2007 .

This event comprised of Brilliant Performances[Song,dance,mimicry etc] by children from “Samarthanam”,”Nele” and “Vatsalya”.

The money that was raised was equally distributed among all the orphanages which performed. We also presented the performers with momentos.

4>We conducted "Splash",a Painting Competition for kids on Feb 24th 2009 in Lido Mall and Cosmos Mall,Bangalore,India.

We raised around 20k which was later donated to Omashram and Anandashram,India.

The drawing and painting materials were supplied by Staples,India.

All the prizes,gift vouchers and coupons were sponsored by Riyaz,General Manager of Cosmos Mall,Bangalore,India

Our Future Plans:

a>Identify brilliant children all around the world and enroll them into schools from next acedamic year

b>Provide them with basic requirements like food and medication

c>Organise free medical checkup camps,blood donation camps,summer camps etc.

Therefore,we are striving hard to achieve the above mentioned commitments.We are also in the process of getting our organisation Recognised by the Government.
