How to Volunteer ?

Wish to Volunteer & Contribute?? Follow these steps:

1>Become a member of WOW by downloading the enrollment form (location: http://www.box.net/shared/kaixr5xpm5) ,filling it up and emailing us.

2>Contribute Rs 200/- per month towards WOW A/C, the money will be utilized to enroll children into schools by paying fees,donating books and clothing

3>Volunteer to teach children at orphanages during weekends

4>Volunteer to organize,conduct and execute events.

5>Volunteer to raise money and donate it to the recognized orphanages.

About Us

Our History:

We,a group of 7 like minded volunteers came together on August 15th 2007 to do something good which can change the Life of Orphans and bring smiles on their faces.

So we formed a Non Profitable & Social Organisation named WOW which stands for [Welfare Of Orphans & We] dedicated for Philanthrophic work catering the basic needs like food,medication and education of Orphan children.

We are striving hard to change the life of orphans in every possible way we can.

Our Past Achievements:

1>We were able to provide few infrastructure i.e 50 plastic chairs to an orphanage named “Samarthanam”.

2>Likewise,we were also able to provide the following to another

orphanage named “ANANDASHRAM”.

b>Pillow Covers

c>Bulbs

d>Few stationery items.

3>We conducted a Fund Raising event on Nov 17th 2007 .

This event comprised of Brilliant Performances[Song,dance,mimicry etc] by children from “Samarthanam”,”Nele” and “Vatsalya”.

The money that was raised was equally distributed among all the orphanages which performed. We also presented the performers with momentos.

4>We conducted "Splash",a Painting Competition for kids on Feb 24th 2009 in Lido Mall and Cosmos Mall,Bangalore,India.

We raised around 20k which was later donated to Omashram and Anandashram,India.

The drawing and painting materials were supplied by Staples,India.

All the prizes,gift vouchers and coupons were sponsored by Riyaz,General Manager of Cosmos Mall,Bangalore,India

Our Future Plans:

a>Identify brilliant children all around the world and enroll them into schools from next acedamic year

b>Provide them with basic requirements like food and medication

c>Organise free medical checkup camps,blood donation camps,summer camps etc.

Therefore,we are striving hard to achieve the above mentioned commitments.We are also in the process of getting our organisation Recognised by the Government.

SPASH- A Painting Competition by WOW,NGO

We decided to conduct a painting competition called “SPLASH” in Lido mall and Cosmos Mall for kids and raise funds and donate them to orphanges Nele and Omashram.

So,we approached the managers of Lido Mall and Cosmos Mall.

The manager of Lido Mall was kind enuf to spare us the mall,put posters,announce our event at regular intervals

The manager of Cosmos mall ,Riyaz [i m indeed impressed by all the suppport he gave us] was excited abt this event and he gave us the Mall for conducting the event,put posters,made arrangements for PRIZES,FOOD,Gift Coupons,MC and many more!!

STAPLES,Marthahalli supplied us with ALL the drawing material starting from drawing boards,pencils,pens,paint brushes,sketch pens,crayons,water and oil paints,drawing sheets,etc.

They also arranged for the certificates to be given to the kids.

Riyaz[the gm of Cosmos mall] had also arranged for prizes from Pizza corner,monte carlo etc.

He also arranged for couple passes for 1st prize winners worth 20k!!

He s indeed great!!

We also publiscised our event by campaigning in schools,colleges,announcing in Radios like radio mirchi,radio city,radio one etc, even in print medias

Master Kishan,who is the youngest Film Director in the world obliged to be the chief guest of this event.

The money raised was donated to NELE and Omashram
